Olddog, I have a question for you and I'm not trying
to be nasty or contentious. It's actually a serious
question. What form of government is The United States
of America? I'd really like to know what you believe.

The form of government? The American Way.

There's no other government like it, nor has their ever been. It's
basically republican in form, with heavy doses of both democracy and
bureaucracy.
I wanted Olddog's answer. If I wanted your's, I
would have asked you. I really wanted to get an
answer from the ancient canine. For some reason
he declined to answer and then some liberal wacko
politically correct woman chimes in thinking
that my question was somehow contentious. Liberals
are an entertaining lot, almost as much as my
Southern Baptist cousins.

Oh, come now. You asked a direct to the point easy to answer question.
You should know that the liberal intellectual elite don't answer
questions like that. If we were not so stupid and misinformed, we would
realize how racist and irrelevant and intolerant our questions are..

I know, they think that everyone who disagrees with
them is a Republican. My brother has a saying that
I wish everyone would understand. "Republicans disgust
me but Democrats are special, they horrify me." The
next four years will be quite interesting.

They will be interesting indeed. If the Republicans don't develop some
backbone, and if Obama sticks to his far-left agenda and doesn't reign in
Pelosi, we will see all kinds of liberal social bills come out of congress
and the Whitehouse. Democrats don't understand that tax revenue is not
unlimited. They will push taxes back up to where they were several decades
ago, or higher, and implement some of the most liberal social bills this
country has ever seen. The real question is, how long will it take for the
voters to cry "enough!"? We are setting the stage for another Ronald Reagan
to step forward and sweep the democrats out of power. If the spineless
Republicans can find him, that is. Otherwise, America will continue to
descend into socialism and eventually become another third-world socialist
country.- Hide quoted text -

Now come on, Obama has promised that he won't raise any taxes on the
"middle class" but then he has also promised to allow the Bush tax
cuts to expire next year. Wonder which of those promises he will
keep. Maybe he figures that the "middle class" would be too stupid to
realize that allowing tax cuts to expire is the same as raising
taxes. Plausable deniability...yes thats it.
