Default Need Recommendation for Garage / Basement wall

Garage is under family room. *Only finished wall is in the back and
other side is the basement. *There has always been a minor water
problem from the garage to the basement in the winter when snow melted
from the cars. *It would leak under the finished wall via approx 1/4
to 1/2" gap between bottom of wall and basement/garage floor. *Never
an issue until this year with the now finished basement and tile and
rug now on the other side of the wall.

Looking for an easy fix, something like plastic moulding maybe (???)
that could possibly be glued to the wall and floor. * Any good and
easy ideas?

Thanks!!!

By code an attached garage should have a concrete curb against all
walls that adjoin the house, the water could just as easily be
gasoline and this is the reason for that code. These curbs are
usually 6 inches high and 1 foot deep but they can be smaller and are
supposed to be poured with the floor when the house was built. I
would look at bringing the garage up to code by having a curb
installed.
