pole of one of those which may be the live one, they're banned anyway.

From a safety consultant. It was WIDELY discussed Aeons ago. Have you not
noticed when binding posts are still fitted to amplifiers for EU use, the
central hole is 'bunged up' ? Just go look if you can.
