Default rechargeable batteries?

anyone recommend a reliable brand of rechargeable batteries, and where

Some thoughts:
The NiMH batteries may lose up to 1% of their charge every day.
Don't keep charged batteries in flashlight - I use in a camera and
they lose charge in the camera.
Get a good led flashlight - batteries last far longer.
