Yup. Menards folks were perplexed between "chipboard" and "particleboard"
one day, so rather than aspenite, I went out and copied the SKU of the stuff
I wanted.

BTW, try MDO and see how that confuses 'em.

OR...

Ask for "Baltic Birch Plywood." It is a reflex that can't be stopped.
They will drop the first word and repeat the rest... "Birch Plywood?
Yeah we have that?
Telling them that BBP comes in 5x5 sheets will not help either. The
response will be that theirs comes 4x8 but they can cut it for you.

There are just some things that you shouldn't go to the Borg for.
Learn them. Remember them. Then you will not be
disappointed/frustrated.

No kiddin' . . .

Several years ago . . . a decade ago, really, I managed to make off
with a 5'x5' BB sheet. Guy said they normally stocked the things for
re-finishing desk tops. He couldn't come to grips with the notion
that I was going to cut it up to make formers and such for my giant
scale model aircraft.

Alas, I need another sheet or two. Got the first one at Atlanta
Hardwoods, but they seem to have disappeared/relocated/gone.

Any decent hard wood suppliers in hotLanta besides the high-priced
spread at Woodcraft ?
