I've actually been able to filter out virtually all the junk and only
see (with minor exceptions) valid posts. I use Agent and set up a
filter with all the words that are typically found in a spam header.

Belo is my filter:

cheap or china or rolex or 'low price' or wholesale or adidas or
sneakers or Hilfiger or replica or Hamilton or nowhere.com or boots or
nike or paypal or ladies or burberry or discountor or priority or
viagra or drug or casio or protek or dropshipper or dropship or swatch
or brasize or bra or dentist or penis or money
