Bigger quote:
"The transfer stations, which are able to take commercial and
industrial wastes for a charge, are situated in Epsom, Guildford and
Spelthorne.

Up to six sheets of asbestos may be taken to one of the three transfer
stations. Only cement bonded asbestos is accepted at the sites, for
other forms of asbestos a specialist must be contacted for disposal.
Look in the yellow pages under 'Asbestos Removals' for asbestos
specialists."

Does this imply that there is a charge for the disposal of six sheets
of cement bonded asbestos?

When I went (1999), no. Though I didn't know about this six sheets lark.
I took a large water tank, which may or may not have been made of
asbestos but nevertheless, they took it for free and put it in their locked
container.

I may have a need for this facility as I
have a garage to relocate 6m, and gather the roof is no reusable.
