Default Mills, Drills and Reamers - How Do You Store Them?

Time to do a little shop reorganization...too many mills, drill bits

I am looking for suggestions as to how you organize and store your
drill bits, reamers and mill cutters?

Thanks

A lot will depend on the size, but I have found for the
smaller/shorter tools that plastic reloading boxes work well.
For example 1/4 X 1/4 X 2_1/4 lathe tool bits are a perfect fit
in a 50 round 223 size box.

The larger sizes 20 round boxes are great for putting a screw
machine length tap drill, a screw machine length body, and a gun,
taper, plug and bottoming tap all in one place so when you get
ready to drill and tap you have everything.

Standard length 5/8 and smaller end mills fit well also.

Harbor Freight has these in their stores at good prices.

For the smaller size stuff a piece of styrofoam works well, just
"stab" the tool into the foam.

Hoyt makes a reamer index, but I find it just as easy to keep the
reamers in the shipping tubes.

cabinet style -- spendy but nice.

Just keep everything under lock and key if this is at work. Also
keep some dull/worn-out tooling as loaners for the "moochers"
and/or decoys for the "borrowers."
