Well this is certainly going off topic there, but the people I've known
who are into that stuff are pretty harmless, they just get quiet and fall
asleep, about the worst damage I've seen is all the Cheetos are gone in
the morning.


That's what I used to think too, but apparently, the stuff that's sold now
is an altogether different variety that has real and measurable
brain-rotting characteristics, and does finish up putting many of its users
in the local mental institution. Perhaps it just enhances an existing
predisposition to suffering mental health problems. It's just what I'm
reading week after week in my sunday papers, and the sudden irrational and
violent-sounding behaviour of these people seemed to fit ...
