Default Store lawn mower with full or empty tank?

I've heard that you should use up all of the gas in the tank before
it's stored for the winter but I watched this Youtube video and the
guy says Briggs and Stratton recommends to fill the tank before
storage. What is the CW on this?

Here's the Briggs and Stratton site which says to only do so if you
use their special additive.

Many an old fart will use this stuff:

If I'm going to store an engine for a long period,
I run it dry then crank it with this oil in the fuel
system to coat everything. Then remove the spark plug,
squirt some into the cylinder and crank the engine a
few times before replacing the plug. Of course a tarp
over it to keep the dirt and dust off and you're done.
