Default How to kill poison ivy

I permanently eliminated a fair amount of poison oak around my house
with roundup, several years ago, with no recurrence. I don't suspect
that poison ivy is any more stubborn.

The trick, as others have suggested, is repeated applications. Also, it
helps to spray the underside of the leaves if possible. Unlike many
weeds, I found I really had to soak the plant fairly thoroughly.

That being said, Roundup does make a poison ivy formulation.

Please, do not pour diesel fuel, used motor oil, or the like into the
ground. The environmental impact is substantial.
