Shows what the socialist coast will do to raise money for their
cockamamy schemes...

$1111 fine for driving 20MPH over the speed limit!

Count me out as a tourist.

Sounds like they finally have raised the fine to a reasonable
level. In 2007 dollars the old fine (when it was enacted) would
be about twice that much.

It's still absurd. The biggest problem with the US is we still are
obsessed with puritanical idiocy.

Really? We have traffic here around the flag pole the likes of which
only shows up in your sun soaked nightmares. And yet there is still
some cretin that feels the need to go zipping through the congestion
at 80 MPH in his BMW, Lexus, or Lincoln Navigator. Those little cafe
racers, that the stupid kids seem to favor, regularly go buzzing by at
over 100MPH. Serious accidents are an hourly occurrence around the
beltway, and most appear to be speed related.

So please tell me again why you feel these idiots should be allowed
to drive any speed they please! This isn't a desert.

The only thing they missed in upping the fine is there should be mandatory
jail time to go along with the new fine.

-Chuck

I just can't grasp the intense weenie-ness of today's youth...

This _desert_ "cretin" has no such problems... I drive a Q45 ;-)

(Anyone who lives near the Beltway deserves it ;-)
