Perhaps you misunderstood. I was referring to Lionel's wish to
change the group's culture for his own ends, not to the inability of
the group's culture to change.

I, for one, welcome intelligent, witty repartee, even though under
Nellie's yoke off-topic posting would certainly be a capital
offense!
