Can you surround it with flat boards and run it through your TS or BS?

You can cut a V groove down the length of the board to hold the pipe
more securely.

If you don't want to cut up the entire board, just cut some V-blocks
on a 2x4, and fasten them to a straight board with nails/screws/glue.
