Now this is totally bizarre. Are you actually suggesting instituting
forced labor? And what in the world does that have to do with
illegal imigration? Bush proposed a guest worker program, to allow
aliens to come here to work for limited periods, four years ago.
That would help control illegal immigration and at the same time allow
workers to come here. Congress and especially the liberals, ****ed
all over it.


Why bother with immigrant labor at all? Make this type of work a legal
requirement for young Americans, like the military service requirements in
some countries, and pay them the same as the illegals. What does a private
in the U.S. Army make in a month? If you pretend he/she has an 8 hour work
day (untrue, but pretend), does the pay fall short of minimum wage?
