Default OT-I ain't No senator's son...

Ed,

Realistically, Kerry is somewhat left of Teddy Kennedy (Is that possible? Have
I been listening to Gunner too long?). If he gets the nomination, it's going to
be an uphill fight against a fairly popular president.

I don't gamble much (but occasionally will take an even odds bet), but I do like
to bull**** some. My confidence is not real high that Bush will win, but my
bull**** factor wants him to. Just like the last election, this one should
make for interesting viewing!

Like I said, if you want odds, buy a lottery ticket.

Mike Eberlein (BTW, I'd vote for Barbara Bush if she were running rather than
either of the Georges.)

Offer stands, even money, 5 bucks. You wanna take it?

A man who only offers even odds isn't very committed, Mike. It sounds like
you aren't very confident that Bush could win against Kerry. Yet, just a
couple of messages ago, you said that Kerry's nomination would practically
guarentee that Bush would win.

Which is it? Do you believe in what you said, or not? If so, I expect much
better odds than that. If not, you're giving a pretty good indication right
here that maybe you mispoke, eh?

I have no idea who will win. As I said, right now it looks like a close
call. Now, I'm always attracted to risk, and I've been known to take a wager
from time to time. But I've never gambled in my life. Gambling is for fools.

BTW, if you offer odds commensurate with your self-assurance, I'm sure I can
find a Kerry supporter who will do the same thing. As I said, I like to
wager, but I never gamble. g
