Why are you worried about people being swayed by polls? If they can be
swayed by a poll, what else can they be swayed by?

I think the stink over polls is 'way off base. I don't know anyone who
votes
on the basis of polls. But I do know people who vote for stupid reasons.

It's not that they may vote based on the polls, it's that they may NOT
vote
at all, becuse of them, especially with exit polling.

That's part of my thinking. The other part is that big money is spent on
polls by the political campaigns, who then release their findings. I figure
that wouldn't do that unless they were damn sure they get the results they
want.
