Several years ago I bought some 'chair mats' - plastic thingies
that
sit on a carpet and protect the carpet from the wheels of office
chairs. I had two of them for my home office. Nasty spikey things
that
scratch you until embedded in a carpet. Got them from Viking and
they
were sold as 'lifetime guarantee - will not crack". --
Your annoyance is understandable, but is it worth it? Was the mat
that
expensive? Ikea has a durable mat, not spikey (with the result that
it
slides a bit and has to be moved back in place DAILY), cheap, and
protects
the carpeting. Isn't it time to move on and save your energy for
other
things?
About £50 iirc
