Actually, I was thinking of Kenyans, Japanese, Malaysians,Haitians,
Koreans, even South or Central American mestizos(sp?) Vietnamese,
and on and on.

You know -- the hypenated crowd.* People whose ancestors came to
the U.S. 40-50-60-100 years ago. Like mine did in the 1920's -- only
nobody bothers to call me "European-American", since we're the ones
labeling everybody else.

*Korean-American, Mexican-American, etc. Anybody not as "white"
as our friend seems to prefer.

Oh, yeah, just remembered African-Americans -- whose ancestors came
to America (in slave ships) hundreds of years ago.
