Default NTL TV Dilemma

I'd stick to a discrete freeview box, they seem so unreliable that if the
freeview bit died, you have a problem with the whole device

But without the Freeview built in, you'd be in trouble to start with. I
can't be bothered to programme both a Freeview box AND the PVR to record at
the same time. I would want to do it on one box and forget it.

The bottom line for me is that they are both inherently unreliable
devices

I have had my money back on one HDD/DVD player, and both the (Panasonic)
ones I have, have both developed faults within the 12 month warranty
period, I've had 3 freeview boxes replaced

put the two together and you have a significantly elevated probability
of failure
