I don't read that newsgroup. I'd imagine, however, that some
pedophiles refrain from going after children if only to avoid a long
stay in prison. If you don't think that is true, provide some
documentation that shows otherwise - something from an academically
respectable source.

Ever heard of Dateline NBC?

Come up with some data. Sure you'll read about some pedophile
being arrested every so often, but the ones who deserve to be
arrested are the ones who actually did something to children
(or obtained child pornograph).
