Gee, you didn't even mention "ALWAYS cut away the pith, vs. "Use the
whole log"! or " a 'bowl' has to have a clean, round, symmetrical
unbroken rim," vs. " natural edged, weird shaped pieces with holes in
'em are MUCH more interesting" and " finishing requires spraying or
brushing on some chemicals" vs. "just rub on some oil and buff it up!"
(I am sorta in camp #2 on those things)
....and almost forgot: "you need to rough-turn, wait for months and
re-weigh bowls 14 times before completing them" vs. "grab a green
chunk of wood and turn it in one fast session"....
