Still remember a chief engineer I worked for who would tell upper
management,
"Give up 6 more months along with $100K (this was a long time ago) and
we will give you a better answer".

Basic problem with engineers, they don't know when to stop?

Like a kitty cat playing with a ball of string.

Basic reason I got out of it.
