Hello,
I got a defective NEC LCD 1510 monitor given, problem: When attaching to
any computer the readiness LED on green changes - no picture. This LED
mostly remains however yellow - likewise no picture, one calls the OSD
there is a distorted picture and OS-SINCE-SHOWS with a line frequency
(e.g. 42 kHz) V: however NONE. Prehistory: A user has probably the plug-on
VGA cable by force tried on to attach and thereby at the cable a few pins
broke the monitor off. (monitor no own soldered cable has to separate only
a "female" VGA socket) Can it be that by the impact solder tacks are
broken? The monitor nevertheless gets no "vertical" signal. Do you have
any idea, what is broken?

Greetings Maximilian

Probably a faulty cable. It's easy enough to test it for continuity with a
meter.
