is located on the continent of North America, and is a country, not a
continent. In fact, Some of the "United States of America" is not even
located in America at all. Nonetheless, someone who is a citizen of
Bolivia is an American.

I'm quite sure you'd be laughed at if you said that to a Bolivian,
especially at this point in time.
