There is no apostrophe in its (possesive of "it", not a contraction
of "it is"). ;-)

"It's" in the case above is a contraction of "it has".
When I saw Keith's response, I had my hopes up that he was
misinterpreting that. But it was the second usage, in "Never gives up
it's dead" where I messed up and should have typed "its".
