Being able to further you agenda (whatever that may be)
sometimes takes money, yes? You complain when somebody
becomes effective that way, but you don't consider that
you could do more to further the libertarian cause if
you did more than post about it on usenet?

Is 'respecting oneself' simply a code word for 'being
ineffective?'
