Cool. We have a Wally World in town and everytime I go in there I just

A few years ago INC magazine had an article on small business that
dealt with WM and how it almost destroyed some of them.

So WHY go in there??? Myself, my wife, both my boys and their wives
REFUSE to shop at Wal-Mart. PERIOD. I will pay more elsewhere, I
will get quality elsewhere. Until I absolutely cannot find what I
need at other places, Wal-mart will not get my China bound money.
This country needs to WAKE UP - and stop shopping at Wal-Mart !

So Ken..can you give me the names of a couple good American made CD or
DVD players? Or perhaps a TV set?

Gunner

Lots of stuff made here (Sony), and lots of stuff made in Japan (Sony)
...... stuff made in China - don't want it, don't need it - may as
well throw the bux in the dumpster as that's where the Chinese junk is
going to end up anyway (and soon)... and basically all the Chinese are
doing is reverse engineering anything that is going on the market -
then they cheapen it up - and mass produce it and flood the market so
the Americans will buy it and throw it away in a week and buy another.
sigh Don't own a DVD or a CD - don't need 'em, and when the old TV
finally craps out, may not even replace it, as there certainly isn't
anything worth watching on it now. China has surpassed the US in
electronic exports (2005) - only because we buy 'em - and only because
Wal-mart floods the market with 'em. But it's no different with
clothing, toys, etc., etc.... It's getting real tough to buy "made in
USA", but I'm continually trying. I'm also a bit stubborn in that I
may either *make* what I need or do without if it says CHINA on it.
But, then again, that's just me and my attitude. I hate Wal-mart and
everything it stands for and does.... watch a show on PBS called
Frontline sometime when they are showing "Wal-mart, are they really
*good* for America".... You may get the picture....
