Then please explain further what you mean because dice is very specifically the
plural of the word die in its meaning of marked cubes for playing games of
chance.

The plural of the word die in its meaning a tool for holding or shaping is
"dies" and only that. Dice is not an optional variant in this application.

I very much doubt that dice would be useful for bending pipes with but if you
borrow the ones from your Monopoly set you are very welcome to try it and
report back to us.
