20 years ago, I bought a Mr. Coffee coffee maker, at a time when they were
spending literally hundreds of millions of dollars on tv advertising.

Without a doubt, this was probably the very worst appliance that I ever
owned, and I finally through it away. I concluded that they spend much
more on tv advertising than they do in producing a product.
