If the $1600 is for just a Compressor , You need to check out another
price. If it is the whole outside unit, it might be in range.

In the 10 seer the goodman, Luxaire, York, Hiel, Arcoaire, and
Frigidaire are not real good equipment. now if you go to the 12 or the
13 seer units. the story changes to fair stuff.
