Default Moderated group thought.

Just a thought as I was considering the rude individuals mentioned earlier.
Why don't you guys moderate your group?

I used to post to a moderated group for plus size women and it was a
godsend, as you can imagine the kind of trolling that was attempted. You
just need a really fair and dedicated moderator, which I know is easier said
than done. Moderators have to be level headed and leave their egos at the
door.

Anyway, just a thought. Thanks again for all your help.

With all due respect, I think that moderating this NG would take away what has
given it its character.

Somebody's view on peanut butter, (smooth or crunchy?) somehow fleshes out the
individuals that participate. You learn, over time, who's being
tongue-in-cheek, who's lofty and poetic, who's a rambling dork. IOW.. answers to
questions have personality.
In my mind, the many participants all speak with THEIR voices, voices THEY have
built-up over time....and not the voice of a single moderator.

Besides, we need more freedom of speech... not less.

Learn how to use the filters, because I'm telling you that crunchy is way better
than that slimy smooth peanut butter.
