I agree. I have bought some useful stuff off eBay. Mostly stuff where I
think "well it would be good to have one if I could find one at a price I can
afford".

The boilers which come on tend not to be premium units, which is my only
comment for the OP. Also they usually go for prices which are well over
half the trade price, at this level the uncertainty v. cost saving tips
the balance, for me at least.
