Between 50-25% water. New plaster will suck the water out of the
paint at a very high rate. Also don't paint new plaster too quickly -
allow time for it to dry out first.

How long to leave a skim before painting?


How long is a piece of string ;-). It depends on many factors such as
the thickness of the plaster etc. I would leave it at least two weeks,
preferably more. YMMV.
