Certain kinds of filters provide a valve that allows you to flush out
the filter by running water backwards through it and then out the drain.
Other filters (such as the cartridge type) don't have this ability and
you have to remove the cartridges in order to clean them. Check your
owner's manual or the web site for the filter manufacturer.
