Bare in mind it's illegal to resell gas for more than you paid for it unless you're a licenced gas supplier (UK law, not EU law). This was mainly to stop landlords profiting from energy supply to their tennents. -- Andrew Gabriel [email address is not usable -- followup in the newsgroup] |

Full details: http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/Consumers/Do...pdateoct05.pdf Also note the VAT rate which can be passed on is fixed at 5%, regardless of how much VAT you paid on the fuel originally. So if you resell gas from commercial premises where you buy it at a VAT rate of 17.5%, then you will have to sell the gas for less than it costs you. You can also split the standing charges at a pro-rata rate between all the users. -- Andrew Gabriel [email address is not usable -- followup in the newsgroup] |

You had me worried there for a minute as my business supplier has been charging me 5% VAT since day one but I see that business users of small quantities of gas & elec have their supplies rated at 5% too, the limit is 4,397kWhr/mth gas, lower for elec at only 1,000kWhr/mth. (VAT Notice 701/19). -- fred BBC3, ITV2/3/4, channels going to the DOGs |

My brother works for a developer so I don't know if his gaffer is a crook. Arthur |
