Default Which adhesive to lay vinyl floor

I am laying a new vinyl floor in a kitchen over wood underlayment. There
are several options for adhering the vinyl to the floor. What are your
experiences or opinions?

1) Standard vinyl floor adhesive in a bucket applied with a trowel: This
is what is normally used, but time consuming.

2) Spray adhesive for vinyl flooring: Should be much quicker and easier,
but is it reliable?

3) Double sided tape: Sounds very quick, clean, and simple to edge adhere
the flooring. The center of the floor would then be floating. If at any
time in the distant future the floor begins to loose adhesion and peel, just
restick it. This is my favorite idea right now. Will this work?

My vote, doesn't take all that much time.
