First thing to try is the tuner control IC. I'm not at work right now
to get the exact info, but it's the IC chip in the tuner that solders
through the board, not the surface mount one. Very common to be bad.
You did use the TAG generator and did the tuner alignment I assume? No
chance of having cable reception without tuner alignment after eprom
has been fooled with or corrupted by bad connections.

Default Stations all snowy!

when you say most stations then you could have a
IF problem or an AGC return problem..

Chipper Checker and check E-Prom Data, may require you to realign the tuner.

Art, What do you look for when checking the data? How do you know it is
correct if you don't have the original data from the set? Is there a
particular address that you look for?

These sets need the tuner wrap resoldered, if it has not been done correctly
before. I'd look for solder bridges if it was done then the tuner snowy.
