Default advice on bunk bed design

hi
i'm trying to design a bed on stilts, for an unusual bedroom setup. the
ceiling of the stairs cuts in to the corner of floor of the box room, so to
make space in the room i want to build a bed 1.5metres off the ground
directly over it, and build an enclosed shelving unit beneath the bed.
the bed will have 4 stilts, two at the back and it would be ideal if the
front 2 stilts were not completely at the end of the bed because it would
restrict walking space in the room significantly. i'd like to know how far
towards the middle of the bed is safe for the 2 end stilts to be placed,
without weakening the structural integrity of the bed too much. by looking
at a sketch, i would guess 50cm from the end of the bed (2m long) will be
ok, but i would sleep much better knowing that some online experts had given
me some advice!

any advice or tips are much appreciated
tim mackey,
ireland.
