I have no experience, but followed the breadcrumb trail. Slipit.com is very
coy about what it is, exactly, but most likely it is a combination of beeswax
and carnauba wax; these mixtures were very common when slipit was founded.

I donīt doubt that it works. What is not clear is if itīs better than
Butcher wax or the like. Or microcrystalline wax.

I hadn't tried the MSDS route yet...sometimes one can tell something there.

Thought would see if anybody had any experience to compare...

MSDS doesn't tell anything useful. Does mention that it's FDA and
CFIA approved for incidental contact with food.

Here's a review--it's less slippery than wax but doesn't seem to
affect finishing:

Thanks for the link...that guy has more time (and patience) on his hands
than most...

Pretty similar to tests FWW did some years ago on rust inhibitors...not
many of them actually did much at all.

The bed tests through the planer were most helpful -- that's the real
reason it caught my eye when I saw it on the Grizzly site; was looking
for power feeders for shaper as am in process of turning out some long
architectural mouldings that are very difficult to run 12- and 14-ft
stock by hand.

His hand friction test measured static rather than dynamic friction,
however.
