Default Drop front is slightly warped.

I have nearly completed the drop front desk I have been asking questions
about for the last 2 months.

The drop front is slightly warped; I guess that will happen with a 30" x 20"
unsupported panel. When closed it fits in a frame, and naturally does not
lay flat with the frame. I am talking about slightly more than a sixteenth
of an inch.

Other than living with it, all I can think to do is to plane down the high
spot and sand like mad to make it seem flat. Since it is three quarters,
removing a sixteenth is not a big deal, except it is right in the front when
closed where a rounded panel will be very visible.

Any suggestions for how to deal with this, other than to use plywood for
such panels in the future? (anyone let me borrow some time on a 20"
jointer?)
