Aw, jeez, I sorta liked the mental image I had of an old curmudgeon.
Much older than the actual. Obviously a curmudgeon, though.

Thanks for my newest bookmark, JOAT.

Ah, I see your mistake. You obviously have me confused with
someone else, because none of the below applies to me, and I'm not old.
I'm a very kind, gentle, peace-loving, soul. You did see me smiling in
all my pictures, didn't you? Just don't expect to drop over for coffee,
without a prior invite. The dog won't bite, she's just there to alert
me. Hehehehe

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) (web1913)
Curmudgeon \Cur*mudg"eon\ (k?r-m?j"?n), n. [OE. cornmudgin, where
-mudgin is prob. from OF. muchier, mucier, F. musser to hide; of
uncertain origin; cf. OE. muchares skulking thieves, E. miche, micher.]
An avaricious, grasping fellow; a miser; a niggard; a churl.
A gray-headed curmudgeon of a negro. --W. Irving.
From WordNet (r) 1.7 (wn)
curmudgeon n : a crusty irascible cantankerous old person full of
stubborn ideas

OT - WEBPAGE UPDATE

In my family I'm considered something of a curmudgeon. At one point I
looked up the definition, but found the description did not fit me.
Just as you might, I took umbrage. But then I decided that the
dictionary was old and out of date, not me. And that's when I decided
that Andy Rooney was the type of curmudgeon I could model myself
after. Then I became confused by the characters in "Grumpy Old Men".
I believe I'll stick with the Andy Rooney example.
So, in my defense, I would point out that I had intended a compliment.
Of course, a curmudgeon might not see it that way.

If it's stupid, but it works, it's not stupid.

Mine usually just consider me nuts, but harmless. Not true of
course. I frequently ask myself if I'm nuts, and always tell myself no.
No prob.
