I am relatively new at woodworking and I have been slowly moving tools from
my parents garage to my house, they are old but in decent shape. I have been working at bringing them back to life. I have a problem with my band saw that I could use help in fixing or locating a part. I have a c1950's Delta bandsaw but when tightening the guide blocks in the upper position the cast iron holder cracked. Now I can't get it to hold the blade securely and it will not give me a straight cut. Any suggestions on how to fix it or find just the holder piece and not the entire assembly would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help! Tim |

Tim Hey Tim, There may be some replacement parts on ebay that would fit your saw. Just do a search for delta bandsaw The blade guide itself was not cast iron but aluminum, I think. The upper part of the frame is cast iron and I hope that is not what has broken. Sometimes frames come up as auction items. Hope that suggestion helps you get your saw fixed. Marc |

You can order a catalog via the Internet, but you won't find products sold there - at least not the last time I looked. verything you could ever need for the 14" Delta bandsaws, presuming that's what you have. Tim Braze, either bronze or 50/50 silver/copper jeweler's hard solder. The latter can be run in with a MAPP torch. |
