Small metal "L-brackets?"
http://www.correctdeck.com/install_rail.htm Phil Steven Johnson wrote: I built a deck for a customer, and used composite decking and railing components. Just started trying to figure out a clean way to fasten the rail sections to the posts, at the end of work today. I didn't like the look of what I was doing, which was either to attach some small blocks of spindle sections to the posts and screw threw the railing into the blocks, or to drill pocket holes and sink screws through the rails into the posts. I've been searching for an hour or two trying to get some idea of what the manufacturers of these products suggest, but am not getting any installation specifics, just basic product descriptions. Anybody got any experience with this? Thanks, Steve Johnson |
