Compressor Switch.
The bleeder lever is supposed to activate as the compressor reaches the
desired pressure and as the motor is being switched off. The purpose is to remove air pressure in the compressor cylinder. If pressure were to remain in the cylinder, when it time for the compressor to start again it would start under load and the motor may not have enough torque to get started and do damage to the motor.
