Default A little 2" 45 degree right triangle for the portable band saw?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=228013

The band saw looks like this and came with a clear plastic 2" triangle. Its
show on the parts list but no description in the user's manual as to how to
use this. What is this triangle for?

As this is a metalworking saw, asking in a metal group might yield better
results.

You could cut wood on this thing, just switch to a 14 or 10TPI blade. You're
right the metalworking group use this thing more often.

The speeds that it is set for is way slow for wood. And in any case, what
good is it compared to application specific tools?
