Sent a bed off to a lady in Boca Grande, FL. a few months ago . .. . and
it duly arrived 3 months later ,after being on a nice boat ride, then a nice train ride from Caliphornya . . . The Lady was delighted and told me so in a very nice email all about how pleased she was with it - we now communicate regularly with funnies and general chit chat. All really nice and good feeling stuff. Anyway - late last night (Sunday), after getting home from the boozer and managing to dodge all the Roo's along the way - I was lying flat out on my face, under the bed -and no I wasn't arse up from th'grog, - I was trying to coax my little 8 month old Border Collie/lab/retriever mongrel out from under the bed and explaining to her just who's bedroom it was and just what the sleeping arraignments were . .. .. . when the phone rings . .. . "Phil speaking" I answered rather abruptly, "is that Phil?" a tentative male voice inquired " Yes. Phil speaking" I replied rather abruptly again ( having gotten into the swing of the conversation early) Anyway this bloke, with a rather pleasant American accent, turns out to be the aforementioned Lady's brother - who has eyeballed her new bed and decided that after years of searching for the perfect bed - my design is the one he wants - and proceeds to give me the details for payment of deposit on a bed and chest of drawers to bunged on a boat at some later stage and tripped orf to Florida . . . . .. . Isn't that nice ?- i love emerica! Phully The Nannup Furniture Gallery Support small business ~ Save a Species Today ~ ME! www.swanriverfurniture.com.au |
