Default Sunhill CT-60L Review

I picked up a Sunhill CT-60L today and thought I would pass along my
thoughts.

-Great packaging
-no defects, cosmetic or otherwise except for the scratches I put on
the stand during construction
-the manual (pamplet) was so so. In the blade guard step the fence had
not been installed, the next step it had been. Where was the fence
installation step??? There could be much more detail about tuning up,
especially for a first time jointer owner like me. I think I figured
everything out though.
-All in all, putting this thing together was pretty easy and took about
1 hour. The hardest part to me was getting the table extensions flush
with the tables.
-I had to adjust the outfeed slightly to align with the knives and
adjust the fence to 90 but that was it for tuning it up.
-This thing is very solid and runs quiet. There was a slight vibration
on the infeed table adjustment wheel handle but it was hardly worth
writing about. I'm sure a link belt would fix that right up.
-all mechanisms are smooth and easy to operate
-I squared up a rough block of ash I had and it cut very nice and flat.

This jointer seems to be very nice for $375 and I look forward to using
it!

Oh, one other thing. I bought this locally. I didn't realize that
Sunhill had distributers but they do. Best thing about this was that I
paid $375 for it locally and Sunhill is selling it for $379 (plus I
would have had to pay for shipping to NC if I had ordered it.
