HBTM
Folks -
Well I woke up this morning, and sung a little sonnet to my wif... "Happy Birthday to ME! I love my ROSIE, I'm 47 years old.... Now I have to go pee!" So, what'd I get? Not sure yet... The wif said she's taking an hour for lunch and that I am to pick her up in the truck to get my present... it won't fit in the car. When I try to guess, she just gives me that Mona Lisa smile. Here are my thoughts so far... 1) A load of dirt - we need it for the raised planter beds (ie "my" roses, the ones SHE takes care of...) 2) Some artifact that her mum found and bought 6 months ago, and this is a ruse to sneak it past HER husband... "Honey, a sewing cabinet! - I would *never* have guessed!" 3) Pretty sure it's not a sawmill - I don't think that's a one-person-pick-it-up-and-move-it-because-my-wife-is-in-her-nice work-clothes-kind-of-thing.... 4) Did I mention a load of dirt, or sewing cabinet? Anyway, I did get a #45 Stanley Plane - no cutters except the 1/2"(?) bead that was in it.... more research... I'll keep y'all posted about what shape the sewing cabinet is in later today. Oh, the other thing that really peeved me was getting my very first pc of junk mail from AARP a few days ago. More to come! John... gray, old, balding, fat John... |
