Great Series on upholstery and sofa making.
I used to work as an upholstery delivery boy when I was younger. I remember the men in the back sewing the fabric together, and tieing the springs and such. Nice job. jloomis "ChairMan" wrote in message ng.com... completed -- *** Never Forget http://www.gunstuff.com/america-attacked.html |

On sofas I've seen, I think they put a bead along that seam. -- Reply in group, but if emailing add another zero, and remove the last word. |

On sofas I've seen, I think they put a bead along that seam. Not really, and the "pinches" are pleats. That allows the padding on the arm to be greater than the front panel. The customer did not want any welting on the sofa, so it wouldn't make any sense to put it just around the front of the arm. Besides, welting(on cushions and arms) are the first things to show wear hth |
